Broken Vessel

Ok, I struggled with giving this one a title, but I think this works, what do you think? The message of today is simply this - Much like a broken leg can’t run a marathon, broken people cannot function like they are whole. You get the picture right? Life happened to you, you must heal and do the work to return to your previous level of functioning or even better. Now we tend to compare ourselves to others, and expect that we would heal at the same rate. That my darling is not realistic why you may ask, because there are many factors that go into healing. Level or degree of the injury, how healthy the person was prior to, etc…and just like that’s different, the treatment will vary. Some will need physical therapy, surgery, you name it. But the bottom line remains this, everyone will still have to push through their pain to their healing. How they get there is up to them, their willingness to do the work, and the type of support they have around them. Whatever happened to you, push through the pain, seek support be it professional, social, community, or spiritual, just get the help and do the work. Know that support may not come from the most obvious or expected places, that shouldn’t stop you, build your own community if you need to.
