You cannot conquer thoughts with thoughts, you conquer thoughts with words. You cannot think and speak at the same time. So when you find yourself thinking, stop and immediately start speaking over yourself. Speak about the things you want to see, the things you’re working on, and things you know to be true that are positive. Understand this though, if you don’t prep much like having insurance before an accident, you won’t know what to say. You have to have things in your arsenal to say. So prepare ahead of time, take time daily to write and process your day, and speak over yourself every morning/day. Pick out the things about yourself that are positive, things you are working on, changes you want to see, those good things that people have said to you or about you, and if you rock with God as I do, then speak those things God says about you. What does God say about me you ask? Well, that’s written in the Good Book, there is pretty much scripture for anything that ails you, so I urge you to go digging in there and find them, write them out, put them all over your home/office/screensaver, just make sure you can see them all the time, and speak them over yourself. Negative thoughts will be a thing of the past before you know it. By the way, did you know the brain rewires itself based on what it hears? Ok, now what do you want your rewiring to look like?
